DOCUVANTAGE AWARDED CONTRACT WITH STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL REGULATION

TAMPA, Fla., - Document Advantage Corporation, (DocuVantage), a leader in business process automation, electronic document management, and information management software and services, today announced that it has been selected by the State of Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) to assist in implementing its Department-wide electronic document management system.

"Under Governor Jeb Bush's leadership, DBPR was the first agency in Florida to revolutionize the way the public interacts with state government, providing a one-stop, 24 hour a day/7 day a week, licensing process for people conducting business in Florida," said Simone Marstiller, secretary of the State of Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation. "The DocuVantage proposal offered us the capabilities and operational expertise necessary to take DBPR to the next level in our efforts to improve efficiency through the use of technology."

Under the terms of the contract, DocuVantage will analyze the department's current processes and technologies, define the requirements, and manage the development of the new system which will capture, manage, store, and deliver electronic and paper documents. This initiative will also manage document retention as well as the archival of the DBPR's paper documents while replacing paper as a driver in its business processes. DocuVantage will also oversee the deployment of both document management and electronic workflow functionality to all of the business units in the DBPR.

"We are very pleased to have been chosen to be a part of such an important technology project for the State of Florida," said Jana Wiggins, president of DocuVantage. "Our Company has had great success in implementing similar projects for government agencies that have saved taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. We look forward to our process achieving similar results with this implementation, and expect to deliver tremendous efficiencies for the State as well as savings for Florida taxpayers."

DocuVantage's experience serving the government market includes an award winning deployment with Hillsborough County's Planning and Growth Management Department. Hillsborough County received IT Florida's 2005 Government Technology Leadership Award - Public Sector for achieving its goals of improving response times, reducing costs, and increasing productivity following DocuVantage's successful enterprise-wide deployment of its information management and business process automation solutions there.
