DOCUMENT ADVANTAGE CHOSEN AS TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP AWARD FINALIST
Tampa, Fla., - (Dec. 8, 2005) - Document Advantage Corporation, (DocuVantage), a leading provider of business process automation, electronic document management, and information management software and services, today announced that it has been selected as a finalist for IT Florida's Government Technology Leadership Award - Private Sector.
The award recognizes an innovative information technology initiative or solution that has contributed to a state or local government agency's mission accomplishment, service to the public, and cost effectiveness.
Document Advantage Corporation was recognized specifically for the successful enterprise-wide deployment of its information management and business process automation solutions for Hillsborough County IT Services. By outsourcing its technology needs to Document Advantage Corporation, which also maintains a research and development presence at the University of South Florida's Tampa Bay Technology Incubator, Hillsborough County achieved its goals of improving response times, reducing costs, and increasing productivity while saving taxpayers money.
Jana Wiggins, president of Document Advantage Corporation, said her team was "very honored and excited to be named a finalist for this prestigious award. But most importantly, we're proud of the success Hillsborough County IT services has experienced with the adoption of our Electronic Document Management and Workflow applications, which are saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars per year."
There were numerous strong candidates from among large and small providers for the Government Technology Leadership - Private Sector, according to Matt Doster, executive director of IT Florida.

The recipient of the Government Technology of the Year Award - Private Sector, as well as nine other categories, will be announced at IT Florida's Annual Awards Gala, to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 6 PM - 10 PM at the Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida.
