Litigation Support Services, EDMS and DocuVantage

Northrop Grumman Corporation renews Litigation Support Services contract to Document Advantage Corporation.

Northrop Grumman Corporation, a $25 billion defense enterprise providing technology to the government and commercial market has contracted with Document Advantage Corporation (DocuVantage) to assist in the design and upgrade of their litigation support system.

With two facilities storing in excess of 21 million pages of documentation, Northrop’s internal legal support department provides case research and document management functions to their legal counsel.

Previously utilizing a custom application, Northrop has retained DocuVantage to assist in the upgrade which will provide a significant increase in functionality than their previous in-house application that required costly programming. DocuVantage is contracted to design the implementation plan including the budgetary estimates for procurement of hardware, indexing of records, disaster recovery program, workflow structure and customization of the solution.

The system will be used in legal cases of all sizes and magnitude from hundreds of thousand to millions of pages. Paper documents are scanned and stored, then converted to text to allow the legal staff to search for critical information related to the cases.
